The Chosen Vessel

The Master was searching for a vessel to use; On the shelf there were many - which one would He choose?

Take me, cried the gold one, I'm shiny and bright, I'm of great value and I do things just right. My beauty and luster will outshine the rest And for someone like You, Master, gold would be the best! The Master passed on with no word at all;

He looked at a silver urn, narrow and tall; I'll serve You, dear Master, I'll pour out Your wine And I'll be at Your table whenever You dine, My lines are so graceful, my carvings so true, And my silver will always compliment You.

Unheeding the Master passed on to the brass, It was wide mouthed and shallow, and polished like glass. Here! Here! cried the vessel, I know I will do, Place me on Your table for all men to view.

Look at me, called the goblet of crystal so clear, My transparency shows my contents so dear, Though fragile am I, I will serve You with pride, And I'm sure I'll be happy in Your house to abide.

The Master came next to a vessel of wood, Polished and carved, it solidly stood. You may use me, dear Master, the wooden bowl said, But I'd rather You used me for fruit, not for bread!

Then the Master looked down and saw a vessel of clay. Empty and broken it helplessly lay. No hope had the vessel that the Master might choose, To cleanse and make whole, to fill and to use.

Ah! This is the vessel I've been hoping to find, I will mend and use it and make it all Mine. I need not the vessel with pride of its self; Nor the one who is narrow to sit on the shelf; Nor the one who is bigmouthed and shallow and loud; Nor one who displays his contents so proud; Not the one who thinks he can do all things just right; But this plain earthy vessel filled with My power and might. Then gently He lifted the vessel of clay. Mended and cleansed it and filled it that day. Spoke to it kindly. There's work you must do, Just pour out to others as I pour into you.

Plan of Salvation

REALIZE THAT YOU ARE A SINNER - Romans 3:23, "..For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.."

REALIZE THE WAGES OF SIN - Romans 6:23, " For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

REALIZE YOU ARE LOVED - Romans 5:8, "..But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us."

REALIZE YOU HAVE A RESPONSIBILITY IN ACCEPTING SALVATION - Romans 10:8-13, 'But what does it say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart," that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile-- the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

A Simple Prayer

Dove_2.gif (2476 bytes)

Dear Jesus, I'm lonely and empty. Please change my life. I believe that just as you have forgiven others, you can forgive me today. Please forgive me of my sins and save me from the torment of an empty life and an eternal hell. I accept you as my Savior. I accept your pardon and forgiveness. I accept you as my Lord.

If you prayed this prayer for the first time, we would like to hear from you. Feel free to e-mail me.

This picture was taken in Zion National Park in Utah during a Motorcycle Ministry trip. The Lord is awesome in his power and grace and blessed us the entire trip.

Christ's Motorcycle Disciples is a nondenominational organization. As Christians we are called for evangelical outreach. As a Christian motorcyclist, and a member of Christ's Motorcycle Disciples, we have been called to provide the outreach to secular bikers and/or bike organizations. This organization does not believe we have any choice!

Membership Into CMD M/M

Membership in Christ's Motorcycle Disciples MM requires each member to be a born-again Christian and own a serviceable motorcycle. Each prospective member must submit an application to the local chapter for acceptance. We do not require you to earn your patch, however, before you can buy a patch, we want to be positive that you understand Christ's Motorcycle Disciples M/M and the commitment to this ministry. We recommend that interested people first go on rides with the chapter, attend chapter meetings and other functions. A very important part of motorcycle ministry is earning the respect of secular bikers; therefore, we want to ensure that you understand the interaction between bikers. Also, it provides you the opportunity to see if you really want to be a part of Christ's Motorcycle Disciples M/M, do what we do, and stand for what we stand for. The local chapter officers will review your application and pass their recommendation and your application to the National Office for their approval. If the local chapter does not approve your application, the officers will explain the reasons for their decision. Remember we are a ministry and not a motorcycle club BUT we believe a Christian ministry must have discipline, honesty, and accountability. Every decision we make will be based on Biblical principles and prayerfully considered. A husband and wife can both be members; however, both must be actively involved in the ministry efforts. Membership requires each rider to be licensed according to the laws in the state that they reside. Children can be a part of this ministry if they ride with their parents or ride their own bike. Each member purchases his or her patches, but they belong to the ministry. If you ever decide to leave, the patches you purchased must be turned back in. Consider this a gift to Christ's Motorcycle Disciples M/M.

CMD M/M MISSION STATEMENT

Christ's Motorcycle Disciples is a nondenominational organization.  As Christians we are called for evangelical outreach.  As a Christian motorcyclist and a member of Christ's Motorcycle Disciples we have been called to provide the outreach to secular bikers and/or bike organizations.  This organization does not believe we have any choice!

OUR PURPOSE

1. Evangelical outreach: To witness, minister, and win the lost to Jesus Christ.  We are a front-line ministry.
2. Provide a family oriented, Christian ride.
3. Promote a positive image of motorcyclists.
4. To assist other Christian organizations as lead by the Holy Spirit.
5. To help secular groups in their charitable functions.

WE BELIEVE

1. That the Holy Bible is the only true Word of God.
2. In Heaven and hell.
3. Salvation requires a personal decision that you acknowledge your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior.  Eternal life in Heaven comes with your salvation.
4. Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose from the dead.  This is your only hope to escape eternal damnation in hell.
5. Every Christian is to be actively involved in evangelical ministry.
6.  Christian motorcyclists are uniquely qualified to minister to the secular bikers.
