Hi, all. Welcome to Cowbert's Barn Page, where only the worst of my low quality material gets posted. Take anything that I wrote but you're not allowed to make any money off it; unless I get some, in which case: let's talk. :-)
I have some Jokes; QBasic, Javascript and Perl programs; not to speak of all of my best poetry and stories. There's some other stuff mingled in here. I'm not sure what it is, but it promised to leave me alone if I ignored it.

I started using SWL to generate content for my pages. For the .swl file for any page I've got up here, just change the .html to .swl and peek at the code. Oh, look at the new jokes.

I'm attempting to bring this site's content up to its former glory. I've invited some Macromedia people to look at it, so, look sharp everybody! On a personal note, I'm writing version 2.0 of SWL right now. I'm adding extensibiliy features (so you can write your own tags), multiple file integration, automatic tables of contents and calendars, and site templates will be handled internally. And people ask me whether I use a WYSIWYG editor to make my web pages. Bah! P.S., I hope to publish Invest, the CGI game I wrote soon. I hope to purchace TheInvestGame.com before some over-zealous proprietary registar steals it. :-)

I redid the entire site with a new template involving the spiffy tabled border graphics (designed with Marcomedia Fireworks) and a nifty style sheet (courtesy of your truly, the Nerdcow). Regretfully, I had to write this page strictly with HTML; I would have liked to demonstrate the awsome power of SWL (Short Web Language, pronounced like 'swill'), but there's a time and a place for everything. As my friend, Allanon, pointed out: that place is college. I also included my coursework for CIS 30.

I am starting to keep track of my revisions; good for me, right? If you would like email updates about the site, I'll write you in on a list.
I've tested this site with MS Internet Explorer 5.00.2920 and Netscape Navigator 4.72 at 800x600 and 1600x1200. It worked fine in both, though there are some aesthetics that Netscape doesn't support yet: colorful scrollbars and the overrode bullet image. I guess you can't win them all. :-)
