A Little Speck

I'm just a little speck, here on this planet earth.

You've known me and loved me, even before my birth.

And it's you Lord, who knows the hairs upon my head;

and you'll know and still love me, after I am dead.

For your gracious love has lifted me from depths, I cannot say.

You have given me, a gift, it's true, I never can repay.

For you love's not the love that's here, on this dying planet earth;

Your love, it's unblemished, beyond riches, is it worth.

So praise your name, oh God of love who's Spirit is so sure.

Ring out the bells and look above to the One who is so pure.

So here I am, this little speck, in a world with billions more;

and here You are, right in my heart, you love, from Heaven's door.

Amen.
