9/11 WAR IS SPIRITUAL

This war against terrorism, along with any other war, is a manifestation of the unseen war between good and evil in the spiritual realm. The wicked against the righteous, God haters against God lovers.  Jesus Christ said: "He who is not with Me is against Me   (Matthew 12:30a) All warfare flows from that statement. Is Jesus good? Yes. Then, who is it that resists that truth, other than the wicked? Jesus said; “Why do you call Me Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say?” (Luke 6:46) Well, why? Jesus said; “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated Me first...”  "They hated Me without reason.” (John l5:18,25b) Jesus said; "He who hates Me, hates My Father as well.” (John 15:23) Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is the only begotten Son of God (John 1:14,18; 3:16,18).

May America remember that her founding fathers based her Constitution on a biblical world view, one nation under God.  And who is this God of the Bible?  There are many faiths practiced in the world today, but none can say that the God of the Old and New Testaments found within the Bible is the God they serve, trust and obey.  Why?  Because they will include Jesus as one of the ways to God, or as one of the messengers of God.

The Bible says that Jesus stands alone, “Salvation is found in no one else for there is no other name under heaven given to men, by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) And again the Bible declares:  “Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the Name that is above every name, that at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth, and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9-I I)

America, America, do not miss this truth!  Oh Lord, grant us repentance to see.  Our founding fathers understood that truth and they understood this also; “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.” (Psalms 127: 1) America had a wake-up call on September 11, 2001 a wake up call from Whom, if not the LORD God of Eternity beckoning us to repent, to turn again to Him.

America is a wonderful, marvelous nation. Yet we lead the world in every self serving debauchery:  pornography, abortion, divorce, violence and self gratification.  Are one or more of those your personal pets?  They do not go unnoticed by God.  “For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any double-edged sword.  It penetrates even to dividing soul and Spirit joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart, nothing in all creation is hidden from Gods sight, everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we trust give account.” (Hebrews 4:12,13)  And again, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.” (Proverbs 14:34)

America, hear what the God of the Bible declares about Himself.  This is what the Lord says “Israel’s King and Redeemer, The Lord Almighty; ‘I am the first and I and the last’, apart from Me there is no God” (Isaiah 44:6)  And again He declares, “It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it. My own hands stretched out the Heavens: I marshal their starry hosts   And there is no God apart from Me, a righteous God and a Savior: There is none but Me. Turn to Me and be saved all you ends of the earth; for I am God me there is no other.” (Isaiah 45:12,2 c,22).

Our founding fathers knew better than to trust in their economy, military might, prosperity or any other natural bounty. They sought the Lord because “the Lord foils the plans of the nations; He thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of His Heart through all generations. Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose for His inheritance.. No king is saved by the size of his army; No warrior escaped by his great strength. A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength, it cannot save. But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His unfailing love” (Isaiah 33:10—12,16—18).

It is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that... “So loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.  Whoever believes in Him is not condemned but whoever does not believe stands condemned already, because he has not believed on the Name of God’s only Son.” (John 3:16-18 Jesus speaking).

Folks, God is Love, but that does not change His attributes. He is righteous, Holy and hates wickedness.  And in Him is no darkness at all.  We have watered down the concept of God’s love to the degree that one might think that God does not love His own Word or promises. His Son, Jesus, then, dying for nothing. It isn’t so.  His Word tells us, “Do not be deceived; God cannot be mocked.  A man reaps what he sows.  The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.... And, if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ.... And this is the testimony: ‘God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life’” (Galatians 6:7,8 ; Romans 8:9b; I John 5:11,12).

Man's greatest need is not for God’s love, rather, it is for God’s forgiveness. Both His Love and forgiveness toward man is found in the person of Jesus Christ, “Who gave Himself as a ransom for all men... In him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins..., For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, Who gave Himself as a ransom for all men.... God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners Christ died for us” (I Timothy 2:6 Ephesians I: 7a ; I Timothy 2:5,6 ; Romans 5:8).

Man has a sinful nature that will rule over him and continue to corrupt him until death and after that comes judgment. "Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment” (Hebrews 9:27) , Man has the tendency to Judge and compare himself to a terrorist perhaps, making himself look good by comparison which is no goodness at all compared to God’s glory. “There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23) God requires the His righteousness in us, nothing less is accepted. The word gospel means “good news” and here it is, “This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.

God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ Jesus, not counting men's sins against them by receiving the completed redemptive work of Jesus.  And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are, therefore, Christ’s' ambassadors as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s’ behalf. Be reconciled to God.  God made Him Who Had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God” (Romans 1:22; 2 Corinthians 5:19-12). Thank you Jesus. No other religious faith gives that promise and hope to a man; “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not of yourselves, It is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8,9).

The atrocities that took place on September 11, 2001 testify of the evil that resides both in man and the world. It is awful. It is horrid. It is damnable. It calls for justice. Know then, in the natural realm of things, no amount of Justice will solve the dilemma of man’s sinful nature and heart.

May this nation repent toward God through faith in Jesus Christ.  May we pray for our President and our leaders because the authorities that exist have been established by God.  For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong... he does not bear a sword for nothing.  He is God’s servant an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the evildoers. (Romans 13:1 6,3,4b)

May our President wield that sword with wisdom, discernment, prudence and might; “In your anger do not sin; when you are on your beds, search your hearts and be silent.” (Psalm 4:4).

May the Lord God Almighty bless America!
