Hi, my
name is Cindy Ferry. Thank you for
coming to my website!
I
started making wire-wrap glass bead jewelry about 12 years ago, as a
hobby. I was fascinated
by
Victorian designs - the older look seemed to give the jewelry a history of its
own. I like the feel
of a
piece of jewelry (or art, or anything) that has been made with a lot of
concentrated
effort
from its maker. That is why I include
small details and make sure that each piece is unique.
I
started out with earrings, which were sold in a little diner in Kent, Ohio.
A few
years and a cross-country move later, the line has expanded with anklets,
bracelets,
necklaces, key chains, bookmarks... or whatever someone suggests.
I'm
proud to have participated in Auction from the heART, 2002 in York, PA, in the
2004 ProARTS Walk in San Francisco,
under
the auspices of Alba Studio, and fundraising for the Children’s Tumor
Foundation.
I love
getting ideas from friends. Early
creations were for specific loved ones,
and
were designed to accent their eyes, hair, or compliment some color they often
wear.
I really value input from the person who will
wear the creation and welcome it as fresh inspiration.
